Zalina Swiss Organic was born from a journey across cultures, generations and disciplines.
From the Caribbean island of Trinidad and Tobago, to New York City, and ultimately Switzerland, founder and cosmetic science formulator Zalina Wälchli has brought together the worlds that shaped her: ancestral botanical wisdom, modern formulation science and a lifelong belief that beauty and wellbeing should never be separated.
The Spark of Purpose
Zalina's first introduction to beauty did not happen in a laboratory.
It happened at home.
Growing up in Trinidad in a family rooted in East Indian heritage, she watched her mother turn to herbs, foods, oils and traditional Ayurvedic practices as part of everyday wellbeing.
Aloe vera, turmeric, saffron and botanical preparations were not beauty trends. They were simply part of life.
Her mother's kitchen became Zalina's first laboratory — and planted an idea that would remain with her for decades:

From Ancestral Wisdom to Cosmetic Science
Zalina's path was anything but conventional.
Her journey took her from Trinidad to New York City and eventually to Switzerland, spanning technology, finance, beauty, holistic health and wellness before bringing those disciplines together through cosmetic science.
Today, as a Certified Cosmetic Science Formulator, IIN Integrative Health Coach and Yoga and Person Trainer, Zalina approaches skin through a wider lens.
She does not believe in fighting age.
She believes in understanding the skin, supporting its changing needs and helping women age confidently.
That philosophy became Zalina Swiss Organic.
